Don't let go

What a summer. Have to admit that I was going to write a bit more often, but my parents dragged me to our summer house - and obviously we didn't have internet connection over there. Anyway, I still had a great summer!

First of all, I loved the weather. Finnish summer is typically rather cold and rainy, but not this time. The heat lasted for weeks and it was almost like being in another country, like I said, we aren't used to weather like this.

Secondly, my taste of music has been extremely weird this summer. I normally listen to The Script, Copeland, Amy MacDonald or 30 Seconds to Mars... or anything really, but not the mainstream music. However, I kept listening to Taio Cruz's "Break Your Heart", Adam Lambert's "If I Had You" or Lady Gaga's "Alejandro" over and over again. And I don't even like those songs? I guess it's just that they're great 'background music', you don't really have to pay attention to songs like that, you just listen.

Oh, there's one thing I'll never forget: I recorded my first song ever! I went to this art camp in the beginning of August and some guys there wrote the 'theme song' of the camp. And they wanted me to sing it. :) It was a great experience and I was really excited after it - and it doesn's sound bad at all!

I also travelled quite a lot, around Finland though. I visited cities I've never been to before, which was nice, and we even went to Tallinn for a day. For those who haven't been to Tallinn (the capital of Estonia), go there as soon as you can. It's a beautiful city, one of my favourites.

Even though I enjoyed this summer, I don't mind going back to school tomorrow. It'll be nice to see friends again, remember what day it is and know you're learning something new every day. I know I'll be complaining about the piles of homework and stress after a few months, but oh well. Right now I miss the daily routines and want them back.

Wish you a good year, good to be back again!
