Valitsen yhden meren ja oudon veneen
I found this song from Spotify last night and listened to it a few times wondering why it sounded so familiar. I had never listened to Johanna Kurkela before and didn't even like any other songs from her newest album, but this one was really beautiful. Then I noticed it sounded a bit like a Nightwish song and reminded me of The Islander and Creek Mary's Blood. Why? My question was answered when I googled "Satojen merien näkijä": the writer of the song is Tuomas Holopainen. As I did some more research I also found out that Kurkela has recorded two songs with Sonata Arctica; No Dream Can Heal A Broken Heart and Deathaura, both from The Days Of Grays.
Haha no wonder I liked it so much, Holopainen is a great artist and I admire him, and I've heard Kurkela sing on Sonata Arctica's album. Now I just need chords for this song but can't find them anywhere... Oh well, I'll come up with something. Wonder if anyone else likes this song, it's one of my favourites at the moment.
